Resumen

This article contains a brief summary of the topics and concepts related to 16b Hilbert problem which refers to the existence of a bound on the number of limit cycles of a polynomial system in function of its degree. Both algebraic and analytic perspectives are described. Moreover, collateral open questions related to the mentioned problem are given. Finally, the bibliography, which does not intend to be exhaustive, contains more than one hundred of references.
