About the Journal

Mission

RIMCEO's mission is to disseminate and promote technical, scientific, and applied knowledge in the fields of mechanical engineering, maintenance, operational reliability, asset management, operational excellence, design, manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, and industrial digital transformation.

The journal seeks to serve as a space for knowledge integration and transfer among academia, industry, and professionals in the productive sector, encouraging the publication of research, case studies, technological developments, and practical application experiences that contribute to innovation, sustainability, competitiveness, and continuous improvement within organizations.

RIMCEO also promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and the formation of knowledge networks across the Ibero-American region, driving the development of engineering solutions tailored to the challenges of Industry 4.0, modern asset management, and the reliability of industrial systems.

To be a leading scientific and technical journal in Latin America and the Spanish-speaking world, recognized for the quality, relevance, and impact of its publications in mechanical engineering, maintenance, reliability, asset management, and operational excellence.

RIMCEO aspires to establish itself as an international platform for the dissemination of applied knowledge, connecting universities, research centers, companies, and leading industries, while actively contributing to technological development, industrial innovation, and sustainable digital transformation.

The journal will seek to meet high editorial and international indexing standards, promoting research and experiences that generate real value for industry and society.

RIMCEO is a publication of Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María and upholds the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), promoting free, permanent, and universal access to scientific knowledge.

All published articles are freely available to readers in any country, with no subscription fees or access restrictions. The journal does not charge submission, processing, or publication fees (APC).
