About the Journal

SCIENTIA. Series A: Mathematical Sciences is the official open access journal of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM), one of Chile’s leading institutions in science, technology, and education. Founded in 1934, the journal has been published under the title SCIENTIA. Series A: Mathematical Sciences since 1988, focusing on original research in pure and applied mathematics at both national and international levels.

The journal publishes original research articles in all areas of pure and applied mathematics. Recent issues have included works in fields such as Complex Geometry, Real and Complex Analysis, Differential Equations, and Dynamical Systems.

SCIENTIA is published once a year and provides immediate open access to all of its content. All articles are freely available online without subscription or registration. The journal does not charge authors any submission, processing, or publication fees (APCs).

Beginning in 2025, all articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction provided the original work is properly cited.
Issues published prior to 2025 remain available in their original PDF format and under the copyright conditions applicable at the time of publication, as the journal did not yet have explicit licensing policies in place.

The journal’s content is digitally preserved through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and the Institutional Repository of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, ensuring long-term preservation and access.
